The Green Building Solutions Awards revealed on Ecobat

On March 18, Construction21 presented the 2015 edition of the Green Building Solutions Awards to the professionals at the Ecobat fair in Paris.

For Christian Brodhag, Chairman of Construction21, the Green Building Solutions Awards has one goal: to show that sustainable construction is an international reality by disseminating best practices from around the world. This goal echoes with the International Climate Conference (COP21) to be held in Paris in December 2015. The Green Building Solutions Awards 2015, with its 6 new categories, will provide climate solutions to the COP21.

Buildings and solutions to be viewed across the world

The winners, but also all the contest participants gain real visibility with the contest, testified by Anne-Laure Boichot from Tangram Architects. Her agency and Nexity Ywood won the awards for the Efficient Building 2014 award, with the project Ywood Aix L’Ensoleillée. « The competition gave us a huge visibility. The award particularly attracted the interest of the professional press. » A visibility that keeps on giving even after the competition. The Ywood – L’Ensoleillée case study exceeded 10,000 views in less than a year. The other competitors are not left out in terms of visibility, some were consulted by about 9,000 visitors.

In 2015, Construction21 raises the bar: "This year, the competition steps up, 1 million professionals are expected across the network to enter the competition, to consult the case studies and to vote online for their favorites, "says Véronique Pappe, Director Construction21 France.

New in the 2015 edition:

  • Going beyond the Construction21 network :
The competition course will unfold through the current 9 countries of Construction21 network (Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Morocco, Romania and Spain) and supported by the international platform, but also through many countries outside the network. The COP21 presents an additional incentive to encourage new partners to join the network.
  • Contest sponsorship :
Companies and organizations committed to sustainable construction can support the competition by sponsoring a category of their choice. The VELUX Group has become an international sponsor of the category Health & Comfort.
  • Enhanced communication :
As a social media Construction21 has to create the buzz and to help partners to relay that buzz around the Green Building Solutions Awards. A communication plan with a toolkit will be provided to all partners to do as much noise as possible for the competition and give maximum visibility to candidates’ buildings and solutions.
