Thierry Koscielniak is Executive Director of the eLearning & Academic Support Office (ICT for Education) ; Research Engineer at the Paris Descartes University in Paris, France (www.parisdescartes.fr).
Thierry is a member of the team that has designed and run the firsts MOOCs on the FUN (France Université Numérique) platform. He is MOOC coordinator for Paris Descartes and trains his peers during FUN sessions.
As a member of the IT Strategic Steering Board of his university, he plays a role in strategic planning and policy development for information system, infrastructure and programs.
He is also member of the board of ANSTIA (www.anstia.fr), French association of ICT for Education services in HE.
His department is in charge of the eLearning plateform Moodle, of the e-portfolio management system Mahara and of the university social network based on Elgg :http://carnets.parisdescartes.fr
Thierry completed his Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry at the Pierre et Marie Curie University.
