The 15th Annual Session of Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS 2020) will be organized in a virtual format as an observance of Urban October on October 15-16, 2020, with the theme being “Post-Pandemic Recovery and Transformation: Resilient Cities, Healthy Planet”. The Sustainable Cities And Human Settlements Awards Ceremony 2020 will fall on the afternoon of October 16 (Central European Time).

The forum will address the main issues including preserving and sustainably managing biodiversity and guaranteeing ecological security; building urban resilience to climate change; smart, sustainable cities and communities; integrated climate, hydrology and environment services for sustainable cities; adaptable buildings and resilient cities; financing for resilient urban infrastructure; blockchain technology and smart urban governance; blue economy and healthy ocean, post-crisis healthy and anti-fragile cities, and other concerned topics.

Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements Awards 2020 (Deadline for SCAHSA 2020 Applications and Nominations: August 31, 2020.)

The “Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements Awards Ceremony 2020” (SCAHSA 2019) will be held in an appropriately befitting way to recognize excellence in sustainable development practices and innovations. SCAHSA is a worldwide prize annually awarded by Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS). It is focused on promoting the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development especially SDG 11. The SCAHSA has been successfully held on fourteen previous occasions with award winners belonging to all regions of the world, and has created a high-level interactive platform for insiders to share and spread knowledge and experience, exerting significant demonstration effects.
