Ilaria Corchia architect résumé

Born in Rome in 1978. She achieves the Bachelor of Architecture with full marks and honour (2003) at the University of Studies of Roma Tre (Rome, Italy) with a bachelor thesis titled “A settlement proposal for the Basso Salento area (South of Italy – Puglia Region)’, tutor Prof. Arch. Francesco Cellini. Chartered Architect registered to the Professional Association of Architects, Planners, Landscape Designers and Restorers of the City of Rome and its Province since 2004 with the N° 15996.

In February 2005 she achieves a II Level International Master degree in historical, archaeological contexts, complex urban areas design and restoration at the University of  Studies of  RomaTre - Architecture Department, applying a design stage at the Design and Planning Department, Universidad de Valladolid.

In December 2008 she becomes Expert in ‘Governance of Natural Protected Areas’ with a II Level Master degree at the University of Studies of Molise (Italy) with the patronage of the Ministry of the Environment and Territory and Sea Protection.

She attends university courses of Landscape Ecology, being member of SIEP – Italian Society of Landscape Ecology since 2007.

In Semptember 2012 she achieves the LEED GA (Green Associate) professional credential, released by GBCI (Green Building Council Institute)- U.S.A. (www.leed.org, www.gbci.org) and becomes Member of the Sustainable Sites Standard Committee of Green Building Council Italia for the implementation of the National rating system ‘Green neighborhood development’ (www.gbcitalia.org).

She becomes a specialist professional in urban and landscape planning and design, working as Senior architect and Project Manager with privates (A.F. Arch. Giovanni Cafiero, “Bio-Project Studio” AA, Studio Prof. Nimis) and collaborating with National and International University (Urban Studies Department – University of Studies of Roma Tre, Architecture Faculty, Italy; Design and planning Department – University of Valladolid, Spain), participating to international design and planning competitions and publishing articles on these subjects (I. She works as professional consultant in Ecosfera S.p.A. Engineering Society – Italy (www.ecosfera.it) from 2008 to 2012, working on urban planning and design, public space and parks design, private and public housing design.

Since August 2012 she collaborates with Engineering societies ( Telos s.r.l. www.telositalia.it, Surf Engineering s.r.l.) on the themes of  urban and energetical planning integration activity and innovative methodologies implementation in the field of Smart Cities programme and urban sustainable development.
