It's unfortunate, but it's normal for chair caning to start sagging after a while. There is a simple trick that you can use to repair the caning. Take a sponge and dampen the bottom, where the sagging is taking place. Use warm water. Let it dry overnight. Repeat this process until it is fixed.

If it's in your budget, use natural materials over synthetic ones. They provide great value and good looks, too. They are also stronger and more attractive. While you pay a lot up-front, the money you save on replacing it over time adds up.
