Sagnik Bhattacharjee

I am an urban environmental engineer and a specialist in dynamic simulation of thermal comfort in cities and the creation of a map identifying the potential vulnerability of cities with respect to climate change impacts. My technical specialities are in simulating urban microclimate using simulation software suite called SOLENE-microclimat and performing Geo-spacial analysis using Quantum-GIS software to advice stakeholders of urban development on how to identify and mitigate the impacts of overheated cities (urban heat island) on public health using efficient planning and design of build structures in urban neighbourhoods.
