To maintain global warming below the critical 2°C, we need to change our way to build buildings and cities. They must become more sober in resources and more resilient, in other words: adaptable.

Solutions already exist. Let’s put them on display! The Green Solutions Awards prove to be the right place to promote them and inspire professionals with new practices and ideas, across the globe.

An international competition for climate solutions

The Green Solutions Awards are an international contest of sustainable solutions for buildings and cities. Powered by the Construction21 network, these awards feature a national stage – where candidates compete in their country – and a subsequent international stage gathering the champions selected on each Construction21 platform.
Submit your delivered sustainable buildings, districts and infrastructures! Your know-how is guaranteed to be seen and promoted toward your peers and you will contribute to the enrichment of the information platform of the sector.

Exceptional visibility across the world

An online and offline communication plan

The contest, its candidates, sponsors and partners will be massively covered on the 12 Construction21 platforms and on social media.

Furthermore, each international winner will be offered a video presenting their project. Easy to share, these videos will be widely disseminated on the web and social media. A dedicated brochure will also be published to promote the winning projects.

In 2017 :

  • 1.5 million views
  • 5,000 brochures published in 5 languages (English, French, Spanish, Chinese, German)
  • 100 emailings
  • 200 articles
  • 11 features in newsletters
  • 828 tweets and 218 Facebook posts

Dedicated events all along

Events will mark the duration of the contest, giving great opportunities to highlight competing buildings, districts and infrastructures, along with the professionals who designed and built them, as well as the partners of the awards.

The competition is supported by institutional partners, media and fairs of the sector, but also by numerous professional organisations committed to mobilise their members, in each country and at an international level.

At a national level, each Construction21 chapter mobilised professionals and networks of the sector.

At an international level, the Green Solutions Awards is supported by the Global Alliance for Buildings & Construction and benefits from the support of renown international NGOs such as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s R20, ICLEI, World Climate, etc.
