Recent studies have highlighted statistical relationships between sustainability credentials and asset value. These studies establish that buildings, especially those awarded with a certification mark or an energy label, benefit from improved marketability due to accelerated sales periods, higher market values and higher rental prices. Although they provide a good business case for sustainable real estate as a whole, these studies are not directly applicable for investment decisions since they do not distinguish between sustainability features.
