Construction21

The SB&WRC project is supported by the European program Interreg VA France (Channel) England and receives financial support from the ERDF.

As the social media for sustainable buildings and cities, Construction21 disseminates free information and best practices for sustainable development among actors of the building and city sectors, especially through its three databases dedicated to exemplary buildings, districts and infrastructures. Construction21 is also organising the Green Solutions Awards, an international contest aiming to promote pioneers’ best practices and inspire professionals around the world. The 2017 winners, announced the 12th of November at COP23, in Bonn, especially rewarded several buildings including biosourced materials.

Both local and global, Construction21 counts 11web-platforms Construction21 network is both local and global. Each national platform is managed by a non-profit organisation involved in the promotion of sustainable buildings in their country. And globally, the network counts 11 national platforms in Algeria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Morocco, Romania, Spain and China, plus an international one in English, all dedicated to this single goal: to accelerate the sector transition to green by demonstrating it is possible to build differently.

The SB & WRC project is perfectly on line with this market transformation perspective and Construction21 finds here another way to disseminate innovation in sustainable construction. The Construction21 team will manage the communication of the project, including the animation of two online communities on its platforms, in French and in English. On these European project for bio & waste construction resources communities, professionals will find a watch on bio and recycled-sourced materials as well as a regular information on the project advancement and the different prototypes under study. Thus, the hundreds of thousands of professionals interested in sustainable construction who visit Construction21 will access very easily to the SB & WRV project information. Construction21 will also carry out other communication missions: production of a quarterly newsletter, sharing on general social networks like twitter, LinkedIn or facebook, training of project partners for the use of social media, organization of conferences or creation of videos.
