High-Level Policy Conference: Positive Energy Buildings - wishful thinking or (built) reality?

Construction is considered a key sector to curb CO2 emissions as well as reduce energy consumption and thus reach the EU climate objectives. Whilst exploring options for the next EU targets for 2030, the role of Positive Energy Buildings (PEBs) should be discussed.

This event, co-organised by Fraunhofer IBP and BPIE, will open with the question: “why should we consider PEBs while Member States (MS) are already struggling with nZEBs?”

It will explore how PEBs can fully be integrated in national legislations, examine the possibilities for market uptake of innovative technologies, and provide a comparative view of how MS approach this challenge in their respective political agendas and subsequent legislations.

Participants to this free event will be able to discover best practices, demonstration cases, innovative technologies and new policy challenges.
