The Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Nice is the largest European Orthodox church outside the borders of Russia: considered one of the "jewels" of Russian art, the Cathedral is a treasure chest of incomparable beauty, further enhanced by the conservative restoration project completed at the beginning of 2016, after about two years of construction.

In dealing with the restoration of the Cathedral, thanks to the richness and multiplicity of materials and techniques present, a challenging design and operational path was created which saw the interdisciplinary contribution of Italian architects, historians, restorers, geologists and chemists and French.

This important conservative restoration project has been studied by applying Italian methodologies and materials contextualized to the existing building, maintaining the Italian tradition of conservation and restoration through the search for quality characteristics that allowed to create targeted paths.

Morandi Bortot , a company that has been on the market for over a century, is one of the realities? among the most? influential in the world of natural lime: in the conservative restoration project of the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Nice, the Treviso company was in charge of supplying the material for some of the restoration work.

Do we find a sign of the company's responsible vision also in the choices that have maintained a low environmental impact of the production systems, in line with the total naturalness? of the product obtained.
