[Video] AEREM positive energy plant - Four minutes to understand

Imagine a straw and wood factory that houses steel activities. Imagine a building that is frugal in its own energy demand, but with machines that consume a lot of energy. Imagine a building that is nevertheless positive energy. This is the AEREM factory, designed by Seuil Architecture in Pujaudran near Toulouse after a participatory process. The cooperators of SCOP AEREM have thus implemented in the design process of their building, the functioning that is their daily life. A great adventure, according to Leslie Goncalves, the architect and project manager of the project. Beyond the technical prowess, this building is also an experiment in business sociology, with an architectural approach that encourages exchanges between white-collar and blue-collar workers.

To find out more about this beautiful project, which won the Low Carbon category at the Green Solutions France and International, you can consult the complete case study of the AEREM factory on the Construction21 site.
