Update about the ebf rooftop greenhouse

The year 2020 started with really good news for ebf. On the 13th of January the building permit was granted to build the greenhouse on the roof. Since having an Interreg project in the area the district chief executive was delighted to hand it over personally.

The next steps now are the dismantling of the old roof and chimney to prepare the roof for the new construction. Working with an old building is always a challenge but it is expected to quickly move to installing the greenhouse.

The structural calculations are being finalized now and the first material has already arrived. The next picture we show will hopefully be a real one, not made in a computer.

Ebf will participate in the Novel Farm Conference in Pordenone, Italy end of February to present the GROOF project as an invited speaker.
