D2Grids quarterly newsletter is available!
This project aims to reduce the carbon footprint of existing buildings with 5th generation heating and cooling district networks; through the use of renewable technologies, energy storage and smart grids.
This newsletter will inform you about the innovative heating and cooling networks and the progress of the project. In this edition: The 5GDHC network in Bochum, Green Solutions Awards, market research, partner news and much more!

D2GRIDS is the acronym for "on-demand networks". It is a 3-year Interreg North West Europe (NWE) project (2018-2022). Mijnwater Ltd, based in the Netherlands, is the lead partner. The project consists of 12 partners and 7 sub-partners. Five pilot sites located in Paris-Saclay (France), Bochum (Germany), Brunssum (Netherlands), Glasgow and Nottingham (UK) will develop 5G DHC networks.
