[Webinar] Decarbonising Spain - Heat Leap - New Technologies

District heating and cooling is on the rise across the globe. To become more competitive operators must apply new solutions and strategies to reduce costs and improve performance. What are the new technologies and solutions enabling this?

Implementing district heating and cooling is a priority in cities across the globe. To speed up the expansion there is a need to improve the competitiveness of district heating vs. gas. This involves significantly reducing Capex for taking projects from feasibility to completion as well as the costs for operations and maintenance. Operators must also refurbish old networks – repair or replace old pipes, modernise connect and control systems and sharpen the value proposition to customers.

There is a range of new technologies available which are strengthening the business case for district heating. These solutions are improving the performance of the heat network systems as well as the buildings to be connected. Digitalisation will have a profound impact on all areas of activity – customer management, operations, maintenance, design and in overall strategy and decision making processes.

It is critical for energy operators to rapidly gain a better understanding of what these new technologies can offer, what to prioritise, and how to implement these solutions in practice to maximise the benefits. The speed of innovation makes it all a fast moving target making future proofing critical for any investment. Going forward there will be less and less time for traditional 1-2-1 sales meetings with suppliers to keep track of new technologies Bringing this process online saves time and money for all, while boosting the speed of implementing the new solutions.

At this session we will introduce some of the new technologies and the opportunities they offer. We will also demonstrate how they have been applied in real cases, and what the experiences are in terms of best practice. In addition we will present the overall trends in the Spanish market, and highlight some projects underway. The session is organised in collaboration with Cyaproyectos and is offered free of charge.
