The webinar will focus on the recovery of waste heat, especially from data center. The South Dublin City Council is developing the 1st large-scale district heating scheme in Ireland in the Tallaght Town Centre area. This project will provide low-carbon heat to public sector, residential and commercial customers, by utilising waste heat from a local data centre, to supply a centralised, large-scale heat pump. The phase 1 of the project will save 1,441 tonnes of CO2 annually. The company operating the district heating system will be fully-owned by South Dublin County Council and will be the first not-for-profit energy utility in Ireland.
Here is the agenda of the webinar:
- Opportunities for District Heating reusing waste heat from data centres, Mags Dalton from PM Group
- Presentation of the Tallaght District Heating Scheme, Eddie Conroy from South Dublin County Council
- Q&A with participants.
