Meet the SB&WRC project partners at Passi’bat

The SB&WRC project is part of the Programme Interreg VA France (Channel) England and benefits from financial support from the ERDF.

Interreg SB&WRC

Passi’bat is an annual event dedicated to the very low energy consumption in buildings. Organised by the French Passive House Association, La Maison Passive, and À Vivre Événements, it features 3 main activities: the congress, the fair and tours of passive buildings. The event will take place from April 16 to 17 in Paris, and visits will be arranged throughout France.

For the SB&WRC project partners*, this will be an opportunity to highlight their work and share the latest results produced by the academic partners! The dissemination of this information is important, as the industrialisation of the three low-carbon thermal insulation prototypes – based on corn marrow, polyester from recycled bedding and wheat straw – which is the next phase of the project, depends on the partner's ability to engage with stakeholders and convince them of the added-value of these innovative insulating materials. Thus, this event is an opportunity to present the prototypes and to discuss with manufacturers who might be interested in integrating them in their catalog of insulating products.

Construction21, as the French communication partner, is organising a conference at Passi’bat to make Nomadéis, SB&WRC leading partner, and/or ESITC Caen speak. For example, they will explain the experimental process that were put in place and the results they formulated.

The SB&WRC partners will also be present on the Construction21 booth to interact with visitors and answer question regarding the research and the developed prototypes.

Construction21 will also be in the village dedicated to bio-based materials, where you will discover some samples of the developed prototypes.

See you soon at Passi’bat!
