Common BIM requirements (coBIM) Finland

pages:newchild

Common National Requirements for Building Information Modelling (coBIM) were defined in response to a strong demand from clients / building owners for a common BIM standard to be established for building construction in Finland. Since its creation in 2013, coBIM is hosted, monitored and coordinated by BuildingSMART Finland, which was founded as a working committee of RTS and is today referred to as a collaborative multi-stakeholder BIM forum. Today, coBIM requirements are commonly referred to in the appendices of public and private construction contracts. Next to the Finnish original, coBIM requirements are available in English, Estonian and Spanish. Visit the ECSO website to learn more about coBIM and other policy measures implemented in EU Member States.
