Workshop 2 - Green Solutions Awards: When districts play it green
While being major carbon emitters, cities are also the main source of solutions to reduce our environmental footprint. They are a relevant scale to think the energy transition of territories. Construction21 invites you to meet the developers of three particularly remarkable districts distinguished by the Green Solutions Awards 2017. Take this opportunity to broaden your perspective on sustainability. Room for Q&A with the audience at the end of the workshop.
The 3 projects:
Ecovillage des Noés – Val de Reuil (France): located in the new town of Val de Reuil (Eure), this ecovillage offers a new way of living more respectful of the planet and better meeting the aspirations of its inhabitants. The Ecovillage is based on the ancestral experience of village social life, rather than on its urban form, as well as on its economic foundation: agriculture.
Lyontech la Doua Campus – Lyon (France): Selected as part of the national program Operation Campus, this major project of rehabilitation and construction implemented by Eiffage Construction aims for the emergence of a sustainable eco-campus of international renown.
Virtual city of Zero Energy house – Tomiya (Japan): this zero-energy district is formed by prefabricated single-family houses with zero energy consumption. The district has a 95% reduced carbon footprint, in comparison to a traditional district. This is made possible by a set of technology solutions integrated into homes. A centralized technical management of energy allows residents to access their consumption data.
