[Webinar] B-LOG Final Stakeholder Meeting

As part of the study on the “EU-wide Framework for a Digital Building Logbook (DBL)”, this final stakeholder meeting will provide a venue for discussion of the study findings and of the recommendations for the European Commission to further encourage and spread the use of digital building logbooks.

A digital building logbook is a common repository for all relevant building data. It facilitates transparency, trust, informed decision making and information sharing within the construction sector, among building owners and occupants, financial institutions, and public authorities. A digital building logbook is a dynamic tool that allows a variety of data, information, and documents to be recorded, accessed, enriched, and organised under specific categories. The role and potential of Digital Building Logbooks as common repositories of all building data was confirmed in the Renovation Wave and the Circular Economy Action Plan of the European Commission.

As part of the study, the project objectives are to create a European-wide definition and concept for digital building logbooks, carry out an overview of relevant initiatives, conduct a gap analysis and produce key recommendations for implementation.

Among them, the following are already available online:
– Definition of the Digital Building Logbook
– Building Logbook State of Play  – A report which offers an overview, comparative analysis, and assessment of existing European initiatives.

As the study approaches its end, this final stakeholder meeting is meant to provide a venue for discussion of the study findings and of the recommendations for the European Commission to further encourage and spread the use of digital building logbooks.

Stakeholder consultations have been a key component of the study. All findings rely to the opinions expressed by over 120 stakeholders that were consulted through a combination of interviews, surveys, and workshops. This is the last of three stakeholder meetings, including a webinar in March and stakeholder meeting in July 2020.

The meeting will take place on November 17th from 2:00 to 4:30 pm. Register here
