The energy efficiency toolkit for energy communities

Published by Build Up

The REScoop Plus project aims to make Europe go beyond their activities of producing and supplying energy and take up energy savings for their members as a new pillar in their organisations.

In the project REScoop Plus it was first made an overall inventory of all activities on energy savings of energy cooperatives.

The inventory combined with the data analysis gave us the information needed to select best practice activities in the field of energy savings.

Such considerations extend to households and buildings. This report presents best practices to encourage and promote energy savings among EU.

In particular, it validates the selection of best practices based on the criteria that the consortium formulated, based on 5 thematic areas (effectiveness, Pre-investments and share of costs, Implementation, market uptake and ethical performances)

Within the report, the consortium demonstrates the state of the art of involving members/consumers in energy saving that are worthwhile to disseminate and share with REScoop Plus, to ease the uptake of these best practises in other European countries.

Finally, an overview of the impact of each best practices is given. Those impacts are estimations based in statistical and behavioural research carried out within the project.

Those analysis focus on benefits to the energy cooperatives.
