REMOURBAN Webinar: Urban Regeneration Model

Join us on Tuesday, 05 June 2018 at 3 pm (CEST) for our webinar “Urban Regeneration Model”.

The Urban Regeneration Model is the main objective of the REMOURBAN smart city project addressing the transformation of energy in buildings and districts, urban mobility and covering the integration of city infrastructures related to these two fields through ICT as a technological enabler.

During the webinar, representatives from DEM (Demir Enerji, TR), NCC (Nottingham City Council, UK) and SER (company AREBS representing the municipality of Seraing, BE) will talk about their approaches regarding urban regeneration. Steinbeis Europa Zentrum will host and moderate the webinar.

This webinar is of special interest to local authorities, urban planners as well as technical and academic stakeholders.  No registration is needed.

After the presentations, there will be sufficient time for Q&A and discussions.

Description of the webinar / approach of the webinar

The focus of the webinar is REMOURBAN’s Urban Regeneration Model. The model provides solutions in both technical and non-technical fields addressing the main goal of a more sustainable and smarter urban environment through innovations in the priority areas of energy, mobility and ICTS.  

The Urban Regeneration Model’s replicability deals with the connection between the demand from cities and the supply of technological solutions 7 innovation through integrating all the elements of the model in a single approach.

  2. Introduction to the Urban Regeneration Model  (Esra Demir - Demir Enerji);
  3. Demand side: integrated and sustainable urban plans (Owen Harvey  - Nottingham City Council);
  4. Replication methodology, how the Cluster Identification Tool was developed, and how this relates to the general needs and priorities of cities on the one hand with regard to their demand and how we link it to the Smart city technology packages (Zoé Lejeune  - AREBS representing the municipality of Seraing, BE
