REMOURBAN to make a stand at Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona

Due to take place in Barcelona between 15-17 November, the Smart City Expo summit is designed to mix ground-breaking technology with urban reality. With fellow Lighthouse projects and the EIP SCC, REMOURBAN will be sharing a stand equipped with a user-friendly touchscreen display designed to help the event's 14,000 visitors to walk through the projects' endeavours.

On hand will be REMOURBAN partners Ignacio González Pérez (Acciona), Ana Perez and Isabel Isabel Tomé (Iberdrola), Fátima Lopez Mateos (GMV), María Parcero and Miguel Angel Garcí-Fuentes (both from CARTIF). Over the three-day event the joint stand will also be the setting of a  of small talks talking points  on the key topics of the EIP projects present. In particular, the REMOURBAN team will host speaking slots at the joint stand on “Sustainability and Smartness evaluation in cities: the REMOURBAN framework”, “Energy retrofitting towards achieving a nearly Zero Energy District in REMOURBAN” and on “Creating a new culture of Urban Mobility in REMOURBAN cities”

This year's Smart City Expo will feature a session on the pathways to boost innovation and policy towards a greener and more sustainable urban future. And on stage among other experts will be REMOURBAN coordinator Miguel Angel Garcia-Fuentes. He will be drawing on his indepth experience to talk about “Cities moving forward on clean energy” and will present a paper by project partners CARTIF, Iberdrola, and Seraing Municipality, entitled “Characteristion of cities as a strategy for urban planning”.
