On- and Offshore Wind Energy in Belgium and in Germany

Wind energy has become a central pillar to the transition to low carbon energy usage. Belgium plans to further expand its onshore capacities to 3.5 GW by 2030.

In 2019, Germany and Belgium ranked among the top 4 in terms of offshore capacity within Europe.

Germany is expected to reach 15 GW offshore by 2030, while Belgium is a frontrunner in relation to available space, bathymetry and distance from shore, and will continue to expand its capacities to 4 GW by 2030. Germany remains the country
with the largest installed onshore capacity in Europe, but is also faced with significant challenges at home.
The Belgian-German-Luxemburg Chamber of Commerce, AHK debelux, cordially invites you to attend the virtual conference "On- and Offshore Wind Energy in Belgium and in Germany" on October 6th, 2020. This event is the product of cooperation between AHK debelux and the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy and aims to stimulate partnerships between our two countries.
We will welcome a delegation of 8 German companies that want to familiarize themselves with the Belgian market and create new contacts with Belgian professionals of the wind energy sector.

Due to the uncertainty in connection with Covid19, we offer an online conference featuring Belgian and German experts presenting the latest development and trends in their respective wind energy markets on October 6th, 2020, and the possibility to meet potential business partners through (virtual or real) B2B-meetings on October 7th and 8th, 2020.

Programme:

  • 6.10.2020: Conference about on- and offshore wind energy in Belgium and in Germany (online and with simultaneous interpretation into French, Dutch and German)
  • 7 & 8.10.2020: Individual B2B-meetings with German companies (we organise the meeting for you, in your office or online)
