Last chance to apply to the PROSPECT peer-to-peer learning programme

The 3rd and last call for applications for H2020 PROSPECT is now open! Is your city/region trying to secure financing to achieve ambitious energy and climate objectives? Or do you have projects/activities in sustainable financing that you would showcase at the European level? Don’t miss this last opportunity to join the PROSPECT peer-learning community that already gathers more than 100 participant cities, regions and energy agencies from 24 countries!

PROSPECT is a Peer to Peer Learning Programme for Cities and Regions to learn with and from each other on how to finance and implement their sustainable energy and climate action plans using innovative schemes. The learning programme has 5 thematic modules, namely public buildings, private buildings, public lighting, transport, and cross-sectoral, in which regional and local authorities, who can serve as mentors or mentees, will learn in two ways: through peer mentoring and study visits.

Who can join?

All cities, regions and any other types of territorial public authorities (e.g. provinces, urban communities, etc.) and their agencies and municipal companies (e.g. energy agencies, local energy and transport companies, etc.) are welcome to join as mentors or mentees.

Calendar

This 3rd engagement campaign will be run in 2 steps:
– from 16 January to 6 February 2019applications will be open to mentors
– from 8 February to 6 March 2019applications will be open to mentees.

Priorities

We are especially seeking more mentor applications (in all modules) and more mentor/mentee applications in the field of transport. The corresponding 3rd learning cycle will start in May 2019, after the final selection and match-making of all applications.

As a reminder, PROSPECT facilitates the exchange of knowledge and experience on innovative financing schemes like:
– Citizens finance: crowdfunding and cooperatives,
– Energy performance contracting (EPC),
– Green bonds,
– Guarantee funds,
– Soft loans,
– Revolving funds,
– Third party financing,
under 5 thematic modules covering local energy and climate actions, especially within the framework of the Covenant of Mayors:
– Public Buildings,
– Private Buildings,
– Transport,
– Public Lighting,
– Cross Sectoral: planning, energy production and distribution, climate change adaptation.
