C40 Reinventing Cities - 4 weeks to go!

#Savethedate On Thursday, May 3rd, the deadline for Reinventing Cities will be exactly four weeks away.
Join C40 Cities and 16 global cities in posting content about Reinventing Cities for a coordinated Day of Action that will support all participating cities in promoting their sites in the last sprint!
Combining the efforts and communications from all 16 cities, partners and supports involved will help us create a bigger digital footprint before the application deadline.
Want to put the “action” in our Day of Action? Here are a few suggestions:
- Post our suggested drafts and graphics on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
- Use the hashtag #ReinventingCities, tag @C40cities when able, and link to the website: c40reinventingcities.org
- Record an engaging video of someone from your team for your followers
- Organise a Facebook Live or a Periscope

The Reinventing Cities competition is a call for urban projects to drive carbon-neutral and resilient urban regeneration across the globe and to implement the most innovative ideas to transform underutilized sites into beacons of sustainability and resiliency.
We are currently on a trajectory that will increase average global temperatures by 2 degrees above pre-industrial levels by 2100. If these emissions are not appropriately addressed, cities will become increasingly vulnerable to the adverse impacts of climate change. In order to avoid this scenario, the 2015 Paris Agreement commits signatories to pursue efforts that will limit the average global temperature increase to less than 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels.
