This special BREEAM Awards publication proudly presents the people, projects and organisations that are leading the way with significant achievements in sustainable building design, development and management.
The projects shortlisted range from homes in vibrant mixed-use developments, to education sports buildings serving students and the wider communities in which they reside, to large scale commercial properties incorporating green roofs and living walls in the centre of cities.
The BREEAM Awards are given to the projects and organisations that, in the view of the independent judging panel, provide the best balance between performance, replicability, and innovation as well as the degree to which the project team has gone beyond what would normally be expected for a similar project.
The international nature of the Awards means that variations in context are considered by the judges to recognize the variations in opportunities that different sectors and local markets present.
