Speakers:

- Cristina Gamboa, CEO, World Green Building Council

- Luca De Giovanetti, Manager, Science-based Targets, World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)

- Romain Poivet and Edouard Fourdrin, ACT project, ADEME - French Environment and Energy Management Agency

Science-based targets provide companies with a clearly defined pathway aligned with the Paris Agreement goals by specifying how much and how quickly they need to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

More than 550 companies with trillions of dollars in revenue, including several property, construction, cement and steel firms have now joined the Science Based Targets initiative, aligning their emission reductions with the Paris Agreement.

This webinar will address questions like: How do Science-Based Targets advance a zero-emission, efficient, and resilient buildings and construction sector? What is the private sector’s role in aligning ambition and action along the whole value chain to achieve future-proof buildings? How can partnership between government and companies accelerate action on Paris Agreement targets? What are GlobalABC members contributions to and activities in science-based targets?

A GlobalABC Webinar Series

This webinar series contributes to the GlobalABC vision that in a future-proof world all buildings, old and new, are zero-emission, efficient and resilient. Through a moderated panel format, this webinar series will present various topics related to the transition to a sustainable buildings and construction sector. It will provide case studies, success stories, and information on innovations, advancements, challenges, and solutions available to drive the transformation, linked but not limited to the five GlobalABC Work Areas:
