Webinar : Science-based targets driving the transition to sustainable building

Linked to GlobalABC Work Area 3 – Market Transformation

Speakers:

- Cristina Gamboa, CEO, World Green Building Council

Science-based targets provide companies with a clearly defined pathway aligned with the Paris Agreement goals by specifying how much and how quickly they need to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

More than 550 companies with trillions of dollars in revenue, including several property, construction, cement and steel firms have now joined the Science Based Targets initiative, aligning their emission reductions with the Paris Agreement.

This webinar will address questions like: How do Science-Based Targets advance a zero-emission, efficient, and resilient buildings and construction sector? What is the private sector’s role in aligning ambition and action along the whole value chain to achieve future-proof buildings? How can partnership between government and companies accelerate action on Paris Agreement targets? What are GlobalABC members contributions to and activities in science-based targets?
