Construction21 Algeria is online!

The platform Construction21 Algeria is officially operational. Mr Abdelghani Zalene, Wali of Oran, gave the kickoff inaugurating the launch of the platform on November 17, 2015 in the conference room of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oran (IMPAC)

Besides the presence of Véronique Pappe, co-director of Construction21 International, many local and national personalities attended the event: the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oran (IMPAC) co-chaired, with the Wali of Oran, this event in presence of the director of R20 Med. Local elected officials, local government officials, academics, architects, contractors, developers and other practitioners interested in eco-construction were present in numbers to witness the launch of the new platform.

Construction21 is a media dedicated exclusively to sustainable buildings and cities and has an international reach. Supported by ADEME and the International NGO R20 (Regions of Climate Action) Construction21 is a media solution that also helps to achieve local and global environmental and economic objectives, operating in the framework of the promotion of the green economy and doing so against climate change.

The platform "Construction21 Algeria" is the eleventh platform of the network. It is carried by a public organization established on December 18, 2014 by order of Mr. Wali of Oran: the "Promotion pole of Eco-construction of Oran." This division, chaired by the Department of the Environment, representing the Wali of Oran and R20MED was founded by institutions and both public and private operators committed to energy efficiency in buildings and sustainable construction.

The online presence and animation of this media are part of the objectives set by the cluster, a year ago. It is a logical achievement culmination of a series of actions dedicated to green building, especially on the communication and information side. "Construction21 Algeria" thus becomes the digital part of the cluster and will be led and supported not only by the members of the cluster, but also by a group of contributors with various backgrounds, with one thing in common: their interest to promote and develop sustainable construction in Algeria.
