Awards Ceremony Green Building & City Solutions Awards - COP22
As part of the COP22, the Construction21 network will unveil the winners of its 2016 international competition " Green Building & City Solutions Awards " in the presence of Hakima El Haite, Minister of Environment of Morocco, host of the 22th World Conference climate and Bruno Lechevin, President of ADEME, historical partner of Construction21 platform.
This international competition of buildings and neighborhoods copy is in the dynamics of the Paris agreements and the fight against climate change by spreading innovation through the enhancement of concrete achievements from the field.
103 buildings and 23 copies competing neighborhoods
This year the competition has beaten its international mobilization records with the participation of twenty different countries. Professionals from China, Sri Lanka, India, the US, British or Sweden offered their achievements, alongside the usual Spanish, Italian, Belgian and Moroccan. France was also the first case study provider this year with 43 buildings and eco-districts 13 candidates.
These candidates have been decided between nationally in September, with one winner per category chosen by a jury of experts and a winner chosen by Internet users. In October, the national champions will participate in the international final.
The winners for both contests, building and city ones, will be announced live from the COP22 in Marrakech, this Monday, November 14th from 16:30 to 19.00. The gala will be followed by a cocktail.
During this meeting, Construction21 team and its partners will also present officially the new Construction21 international observatory dedicated to Infrastructures and Urban services.
