2015, a great year for the Construction21 audience

In more ways than one, 2015 was a very generous year for the social media Construction21. With the development of the network, the internationalisation of the Green Building Solutions Awards and the arrival of new contributors, the audience grew for all platforms.

550,000 professionnals on the network

The 11 Construction21 platforms drew more than half a million visitors over 2015. In one year, the audience doubled (in 2014, Construction21 counted 234,000 unique visitors). The founding platforms such as France, Spain and construction21.org are the main engines behind that growth. But the Belgian and Luxembourg platforms, after only 2 years online, are growing up quite fast and actively contribute to the surge started in 2015. As for Construction21 Morocco, its excellent first year promises a great 2016 vintage.

1,2 million pageviews thanks to the Green Building Solutions Awards… but not only

In 2015, the international contest run by Construction21 drew a lot of attention, especially with the intense communication campaign and the collaboration of its media partners, on national and international levels.

The flow of quality candidates, 113 in total, provided the platforms with multiple exemplary case studies bound to inspire thousands of visitors. There, Construction21 fully played its role in disseminating innovation toward professionals. As an illustration, here are the views for the winning case studies:

All these accounts are a great way for you to follow the news on sustainable buildings and cities.

To reach more professionals across the globe, Construction21 is also present on FacebookYoutube et Pinterest.

An international growth

2015 was an international year for Construction21. Of course there was the participation to the COP21 in Paris, near which the awards ceremony took place. But before that, the interest from countries not covered by Construction21 was palpable. Some of the contesting buildings came from Sweden, Denmark, Lebanon or China.

A new platform also joined the network, with Construction21 Algeria, launched on November 17th. After Morocco, Construction21 confirms its ambition to pursue its development around the Mediterranean Sea and in Africa.

This geographic enlargement has  an impact on the audience ratings. In 2015, 32% of the visits on Construction21 came from countries not covered by the network. Construction21 crosses its "natural" borders. More and more professionals from Asia, South America and North America browse the platforms to read news and stay up to date, as well as to promote their solutions and innovations. What are the next targets for new platforms? China, Brazil and the countries boarding the Mediterranean Sea.

And you? Where would you like Construction21 to bloom in the years to come?
